Live Arsenal vs Bolton Carling Cup Highlights 25-10-2011

Thomas Vermaelen could return from injury as Arsenal look to make it through to the Carling Cup quarter-finals at the expense of out-of-form Bolton.

The Gunners have already beaten Owen Coyle's side at Emirates Stadium this season, having prevailed 3-0 in the Premier League a month ago.
That match proved to be something of a turning point for Arsenal, as they have gradually regained some form and confidence following a poor start to the campaign.
Arsene Wenger's men have won six of their past seven matches in all competitions and will now be determined to move one step closer to making amends for their heartbreaking Carling Cup final defeat to Birmingham last term.
With one eye on Saturday's derby at Chelsea, Wenger is likely to rest the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Robin van Persie, and give starts to fringe players such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Francis Coquelin, Park Chu-young and Emmanuel Frimpong.
But he may also take the opportunity to welcome Vermaelen back from a two-month Achilles lay-off.
The Belgian defender, who recently signed a new long-term contract with the club, is in contention to feature against the Trotters after returning to full training last week.
Carl Jenkinson (knee), Abou Diaby (ankle), Kieran Gibbs (stomach), Bacary Sagna (leg) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) are unavailable.

Bolton news

Bolton manager Coyle believes a victory over Arsenal could be the catalyst for his side pushing on this season following a poor recent run of results.
Wanderers are currently in the relegation zone after losing seven of their nine Premier League games this term.
They have managed to navigate their way through two rounds of the Carling Cup and Coyle has called on those players that will be involved against the Gunners to stake a claim for more regular action.
The likes of Adam Bogdan, Zat Knight, Gretar Steinsson, Fabrice Muamba, Mark Davies, Ricardo Gardner, Gael Kakuta, Ivan Klasnic and Tuncay Sanli are set to come into the team, while youngster Joe Riley will feature in the squad.
On-loan defender Dedryck Boyata, who came off with an ankle problem in Saturday's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Sunderland, is ineligible for this game but Coyle hopes the Belgian will be available for the trip to Swansea at the weekend.
